Between love and hate, there's a whole lot of trouble…

Chad Lake only showed up at his sister's party for the free food, but when he spots an uptight nerd at the edge of the crowd, he can't resist trying to ruffle the guy's perfect bow tie and impeccable hair. The hottie's ready for him, though, and in the end, it's Chad who's left wide-eyed, his ears still ringing with the filthy things Bow Tie whispered in his ear. No one gets the upper hand on Chad. Ever.

Owen Hawkins has heard all about the cocky Adonis from Chad's sister—the same sister who holds Owen's career advancement in her hands. He has every intention of steering clear of the other man…until Chad's sexy taunts push him too far. There's something intriguing about Chad, and even though Owen knows that getting tangled up with the infuriating man is trouble, he can't seem to stay away…

Erin: Who in the world knew bow ties could be so damned sexy? (and KINKY!) Okay, with that important flail out of the way, Tied to Trouble is Book 3 of Megan Erickson’s fun, sexy, nerdy Gamer’s series. This one is all about the boys—specifically the bad boy, motorcycle riding, closet graphic artist wanna-be Chad Lake and the nerdy, bow tie wearing, VERY dirty talking Owen Hawkins. (And can we just give a two-hand fist pump to Brazen for their first-ever M/M book?! We sure hope to see more of this in the future!) You’ve met both guys in the previous two books, but Tied to Trouble is definitely a standalone so don’t worry if you haven’t read Books 1 and 2 (which are both M/F and lots of fun, too), you won’t have any trouble jumping right into Chad and Owen’s story.

These two … you know that saying about how opposites attract? Boy do the sparks fly when Chad meets Owen at an office party Chad’s sister, Marley, is hosting. Spying the sexy, bow tie wearing Owen, Chad makes a move, only to get the tables completely turned on him. This first glimpse of the VERY dirty talking Owen sets the stage for some EPIC “I want you but I hate you” sex in some pretty interesting places. Toppy Owen … yes please and thank you. *fans self* The sex between these two is SCORCHING HOT and very well written. An aside, I promise on all you hold dear, you will NEVER look at a bow tie the same once you get to the end of this book. No lie.

But, in the way that Megan Erickson excels, Tied to Trouble is more than just hot sex between two very hot guys. There’s a lot more to Chad than at first glance and as Erickson peels away the layers of what makes him tick, we definitely see his walls come crumbling down. Not only are Chad and Owen opposites in that good boy/bad boy way, but their personalities are different, the way they act is different, everything about them should clash but as they grow closer, you can see how they balance one another.

Chad swallowed. “I finally know what I want to do. And I need to do it.”

“Okay.”

“I mean, lots of people go to college later in life.”

Owen paused then swept a thumb across Chad’s jaw. “Are you trying to convince me or you that this is okay?”

Chad winced. “Both?”

“I know people in their seventies that have gone to college. You’re, what, twenty-seven? You’re hardly over the hill.”

Chad was fidgeting with the sheet, twisting it around his fingers. Owen reached over and stilled his hands. “Talk.”

Chad blew out a breath. “So you think it’s a good thing?”

“I think it’s great. I’m proud of you. And Marley will be, too. Have you told her?”

Chad shook his head. “I, uh, kinda just made the decision.” Of course, he’d been thinking on it for a hell of a lot longer than that. The desire to impress this man in bed with him, to maybe see a little bit of pride in those intelligent eyes, had been the last push he needed to take the leap.

So many swoony moments between these guys. And plenty of hot ones, too, but I don’t want to spoil them for you. Believe me, you’ll want to appreciate them in all their delicious glory. Owen is just so SO awesome and Chad really grew on me as the book progressed. I mean who doesn’t love a bad boy with a soft, gooey, hidden center? It was so enjoyable watching these two grow closer and navigate the beginning of their relationship.

There is A LOT to love in this book. Many of my favorite tropes: opposites attract, enemies to lovers, the nerd and the bad boy, and more. There is plenty of wicked sharp banter. Hot, DIRTY, steamy sex. Bow ties and proposals and half-naked bartenders. There’s a teeny bit of angst, some annoying woe is me from Chad followed by brief wallowing in self-pity which is not attractive (but, ultimately very human) but in the end there is a very satisfying HEA for these guys. This book is fun and sexy. Megan Erickson is one of our favorites and Tied to Trouble will leave you happy and smiling and likely more than a little turned on! What is better than that?
