Erin: A single mom of three boys that turns to her former high school sweetheart, now town bad boy for help was a premise I just could resist. Luckily for me, Jenna Rutland’s Just for Appearances lived up to my expectations. It’s the second book in her Lake Bliss series and it was even better than the first one. Lots of sexual tension, a good plot, and a fast pace made this quite enjoyable.
Rachel Clarke needs help. As a single mom, she needs someone to watch and take care of her kids over the summer. John MacDonald has returned to Lake Bliss, disgraced and in need of an image makeover, agrees to watch her boys hoping it will help repair the damage and keep his youth activity center open. An agreement to keep things strictly professional goes by the wayside as soon as these two realize their feelings for one another have never really faded. There’s a lot of back and forth between these two that lent itself to much tension, both sexual and otherwise. Rachel and John are so comfortable with one another, it’s no wonder their love blossoms.

She's a Texan, though she drinks her tea plain and NOT sweet. She loves cheesecake, strawberry limeade's from Sonic and her favorite color is purple. In her books, she loves an HEA, but she never minds if the road is rough to get there, as long as the reward is worth the struggle.
