With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

Kassiah: This is the second book in the Marked Men series by Jay Crownover, and though I didn’t like it nearly as much as Rule, I’m glad I read it. Jet is the sexy lead singer/songwriter of the band. Once upon a time, he refused Ayden and that’s always haunted him. A year later, they’re thrown together and once he realizes what he wants, he’s not giving up until she’s his.

“And that’s how it was. We walked the same way, no more running, no more fear, no more secrets. Just me and her, in sync and together, even though we came from two separate sides of the spectrum. I was her perfect future and she was my perfect love and that was how every good love song should end.

This was fast-paced read and perfect for lovers of music-centric stories. Also, this story is hot. I feel like I’ve been saying that so much about books lately, but let me just say, this story is scorching hot.

So what didn’t I like? I hate the cover. Like, legit wish we had just a black cover instead of this. Because that guy? Is not Jet. He’s so hot and sexy and confident and just…gah. And he has piercings. And he’s determined to get what he wants.

“You in love with me, Ayd?”

I closed my eyes and kissed him like he had just kissed me. We just made so much sense together even if we made no sense at all.

“I’m in love with us, Jet”

Also, I didn’t love Ayden. That shouldn’t surprise you, though. While she was somewhat relatable, she was very annoying, and I think I would have given up on her if I were Jet. She does something that I think was horrible, and there was a lot of crazy angst. But, I guess I should expect that from most New Adult stories, right? I loved the first book in this series and maybe would have loved this more if I wasn’t constantly comparing the two.

Jet is the perfect story for you if you to read a dramatic, angsty story about a super hot musician and the girl he falls for.
