Julia Evans is tired of being a good girl and always doing what’s expected of her. What better way to break out of her box and put her own wants and needs first than buying a plane ticket to Brazil? For one week, she’s going to let go and be the kind of woman who’s willing to have a wickedly hot night with a sexy stranger.
Screenwriter Blake Williams has to keep moving before Australia’s latest scandal catches up to him. But a dark haired beauty with a backpack and an adventurous streak a mile wide messes with his plans. He can’t seem to walk away from her. But their week of escapism is all too quickly at an end, and secrets and reality have a way of always catching up.
Kassiah: How to Fall was my first book by Rebecca Brooks, and I liked it. I loved the chemistry between Blake and Julia and liked the storyline. This is a fast-paced, sexy read that takes us on a road trip with a hot guy and sassy girl. My main issue with the book was I felt that Julia and Blake were a little older than I expected them to be. This isn’t a New Adult story. Which, typing this makes me feel ridiculous in a way since I don’t think young people should be going out on their own to Brazil for a hook up, but you know what I mean. That’s what happens so much in NA now that it surprises me when adults–math teachers at that–don’t have their shit together. 😉 With that being said, I did like the book and think New Adult fans will enjoy it as well.
