Erin: I knew going back to Half Moon Bay in Annie Seaton’s newest book, Guarding His Heart, was going to be fantastic and boy was I right! This newest book in the Half Moon Bay series is my favorite and Georgie and Liam were just wonderful. As always the people and place made it feel like going home and I was so glad to go back one last time.
We’ve seen Georgie Sacchi in the previous novels. She’s dead set on leaving Half Moon Bay for a bit, to go out and see the world and maybe find love since her two best friends have done just that. However, she has one last restoration job to do before she go off to bigger and better things, and this is where we meet Liam Wyndham, bestselling author. He’s Half Moon Bay’s newest resident. An author needing quiet and solitude to move past his writer’s block, he only wants to be left alone. As anyone who’s read this series knows, in Half Moon Bay that’s just not going to happen. These two characters … I just loved them. Both hurt before, both wanting to find happiness, both scared to try again, but wishing for love so much.
There was enough drama in this to make things just a little hard for these two, but right from the beginning you knew they were meant to be. I’m going to miss Half Moon Bay, the people and the place itself was such a delight to escape to. Do yourself a favor and read all these books. Annie Seaton’s writing is engaging. Her books will leave you feeling warm and happy. I’ll be looking forward to what she writes next.
She's a Texan, though she drinks her tea plain and NOT sweet. She loves cheesecake, strawberry limeade's from Sonic and her favorite color is purple. In her books, she loves an HEA, but she never minds if the road is rough to get there, as long as the reward is worth the struggle.
