When an reporter mistakes a hard-bodied military man for a crime source, she soon finds it’s just as much fun undressing her new bodyguard as it is uncovering her latest case…
Erin: Date on the Run by Jill Monroe is a very short novella that might be few on words but has plenty of action. For such a short book, Jill Monroe sure packs a lot into it. Romance, mystery, and a little bit of sex.
The characters are likeable, the plot, while a bit over the top, was enough to keep me interested until the end, and though the ending felt a bit rushed (due to the limited number of pages in the book) this was a light, fun read. A blind date gone wrong, a reporter who is in danger, and an ex military man all made for a cute mix. Yeah, there’s not a whole lot of story here, but it was a pleasant enough way to spend an hour.
