From the moment she saw Shawn Scarlett perform at a school talent show, Kit Larson has loved two things: the guitar, and the gorgeous, green-eyed boy who inspired her to play. But one careless night in high school shatters her hope of ever being more than a notch on his bedpost.
Six years, two bands, and one mostly-mended heart later, Kit’s about to make her rock star dreams a reality as the new guitarist for Shawn’s band, The Last Ones to Know. He may not remember their reckless night together, but Kit has never forgotten… and she’s determined to make him eat his heart out.
The release of their new album means a month cooped up on a tour bus, sleeping inches away from the ridiculously sexy musician she’s never quite gotten over. And as Kit gets to know the real Shawn—not Shawn Scarlett, the rock god, the player—their attraction becomes too hot to resist. But the past is paved with secrets, and when they finally surface, Kit could lose everything: the band, the music, her dreams… and Shawn.
Kassiah: I loved this book wih the fire of a thousand suns. Like, seriously loved it.
When Kit walked in like a total badass and joined Mayhem, lead singer and guitarist Shawn knew there was something about her. He didn’t realize that they had hooked up a million years ago. Of course, Kit knew exactly who he was and the history that they shared. She’s determined to keep him at arm’s length since he broke her heart, but you know how that goes. They’re drawn together by something bigger than lust–music. They’re totally soulmates in every way.
This couple. *gah* They’re just perfect for each other. Shawn was one of the most fascinating characters I’ve ever read. He’s such a good person and he’s hot as hell. One of the things I loved the most about Kit was how authentic she was. She owned the stage when she was up there playing, but when the show was over, she was vulnerable and hurt by Shawn’s dismissal of her all those years ago. I also loved seeing all of the characters from the other books in the series. We know some of what happened with Kit and Shawn in Riot, but you can totally read this as a standalone.
I just loved this story–it’s one of my favorites, ever. It was hot and swoony and filled with flail-worthy moments. If you love rockstar romances or just stories with swoony guys, you really have to read Chaos.
