The latest Green Mountain Romance from the The New York Times bestselling author of It’s Only Love.
Charlotte “Charley” Abbott has gone out with every guy under thirty-five in Butler, Vermont—except for one. Tyler Westcott’s attempts to date her may be determined, and frequent, but Charley can’t stand how he acts like he knows her better than she knows herself. So when Tyler turns up at the running club Charley joined to train for a marathon, she’s almost ready to quit before she even gets started.
Tyler knows that behind Charley’s prickly personality and dismissive attitude is a sweet woman he wants in his life. And when Charley suffers an injury while training, Tyler is ready to prove that the perfect man for her has been right there all along...
Kassiah: I haven’t read all of the books in the Green Mountain series, but I am definitely planning on catching up with them. What I do remember about a couple of them is that the guys are just too good to be true. And that’s the case again in Ain’t She Sweet.
So basically, Charley has been hurt in the past and she’s hesitant to make any kind of commitment. Tyler has been in love with her forever and when an accident causes Tyler to offer to allow Charley to convalesce with him, he’s determined to make her see that they’re MTB. After spending some time together, including between the sheets, Tyler asks Charley for the one thing that might convince her: time.
“Let me be your boyfriend for the next couple of weeks. If we do all that and you decide this relationship business isn’t for you, I’ll respect your wishes.”
“By respect my wishes, you mean….”
“I’ll leave you alone. But between now and then, though, you’re all mine.”
You know what happens next.
I feel like if I hadn’t read any of the other books in this series, or if I didn’t remember Charley at all, I would have liked this one more. She’s so different than she is in the other books. I don’t know. I was honestly surprised that she was being featured in this one. *shrugs* What I will say is I found myself practically screaming at Tyler to just…find someone else. She doesn’t deserve him!
Now, Tyler. He’s sweet and just…yeah. Too good to be true.
I’d probably be crazier than I already am over you if I knew what you were thinking.”
He’s just a sweet, stand-up guy. And I love him. Her? Meh. They did have good chemistry and the steam was steamy. Also, readers of the other books in the series are going to love getting glimpses into their favorite characters’ lives. Honestly, that was my favorite part.
I’ll give her this–Marie Force definitely knows how to write guys who are all-in with their women.
