You know we love desserts almost as much as we love books around here at Pretty Sassy Cool, so we thought we’d help you celebrate National Pie Day with some books featuring pie on their covers. We honestly thought making this post was going to be easy as…well, pie. But you’d be surprised how few books there are with pie on the cover. We know we’ve read some books that pie played a major role 😉, but for today we’re sticking to the covers.
Let’s start with our favorite on the list:
Luck, Love & Lemon Pie by Amy E. Reichert
We loved The Coincidence of Coconut Cake and definitely want to check out this one by Amy E. Reichert. It looks so swoony. And we ❤ the cute cover!
Pie by Sarah Weeks
Pie by Sarah Weeks is the only Young Adult book we found to fit our list. One of our most respected reviewer friends loved it, so we will definitely be checking this out!
The Apple Pie Prize by Marsha Ward
The Apple Pie Prize is the latest-published book on our list. If you like historical fiction, this looks like it will be a good choice.
The Big Sky Pie Series by Adrianne Lee
We haven’t read this series, but it’s on our lists! The Big Sky Pie Series consists of four books, and they all look yummy–it even has a reality show! #wherehaveyoubeenallmylife
Southern Fried Blues by Jamie Farrell
The cover for this book may have changed, but we still like the old cover for Southern Fried Blues, which is the second book in The Officers’ Ex-Wives Club series. We haven’t read this one, either, but we love Southern guys and will be adding it to our TBRs.
The Hannah Swensen Series by Joanne Fluke
We’ve seen a couple of the books from this series on the Hallmark Channel (Murder She Baked) and didn’t even know they were based on these books! We have to admit that Cameron Mathison is pretty swoony. If you’re a mystery lover, you’ve got to check them out. Here are the ones featuring pies on the covers:
