Welcome to the sexy, crazy, wildly unpredictable world of modern matchmaking, where fixing up strangers is part of the job—but falling in love is an occupational hazard…
He's The Perfect Catch.
Blake Donovan is tall, handsome, rich, and successful—so why would a guy like him need a matchmaker? Andrea Dawson has no idea, but a job is a job. After being blackballed from a career in marketing, Andrea agreed to use her unique profiling skills to play matchmaker out of pure desperation. But when she meets her highly eligible—and particular—first client face to face, she wonders what she’s gotten herself into…
Is She His Perfect Match?
Blake knows exactly the kind of woman he’s looking for—and it’s the total opposite of Andrea. Though smart and undeniably sexy, she is simply too headstrong for a man who’s used to being in charge. Still, Blake’s blood pressure rises whenever she’s near him. How can he explain the smoldering attraction that sizzles between them? And how can Andrea deny she’s feeling it, too? Maybe, just maybe, they’ve finally met their match…
Thank you for having us! We have two hands-down favorite scenes. Kayti wrote the bar scene from the beginning of the book, when Andy is desperate to find any job at all that doesn’t involve Blake. Laurelin wrote the big fight scene from the middle- no spoilers, but it starts with Andy using scotch tape to divide the office into territories. We spent a lot of time laughing at each other over those.
Well, we both had office romance experience of our own! Besides that, there wasn’t too much research involved. A few episodes of Millionaire Matchmaker, perhaps. Andrea isn’t a classical matchmaker- she just answers a want ad for a guy who wants her to vet pretty girls for him. That gave us a lot of freedom to have the characters looking for love in all sorts of places.
Andrea Dawson is funny, feisty, and has quite the redheaded temper. Her only real skill is reading people–she dropped out of college to do it professionally, and when that job ended, she had nothing to fall back on. Hence answering that want ad.
Quite honestly, they’ll need to get to know him a little bit before the swooning will start! On the surface, Blake is a chauvinistic, arrogant alpha male. It turns out all the little things that make him crushworthy are things he thinks others will perceive as weak, so he hides them at first. Although he IS smoking hot even when being a jerk.
We’re coffee-addicted Scorpios.
Yes! Laurelin has Find Me coming out in August, followed by First Touch in December. Together, we have the companion to Miss Match, Love Struck, coming out in February, and then Kayti’s solo novel That Thing You Do in April.
No one’s asked us yet if there’s a song or a playlist for Miss Match. It’s probably a good thing no one’s asked us, because we don’t have one! Haha. We’d love to know your thoughts, though, so if anyone is reminded of a song while reading, they should send us a message!
Thanks again for hosting! We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it.
