In case you missed our post about the launch of Entangled’s brand new Embrace imprint (with awesome giveaway!), we’re pretty excited about their latest endeavor dedicated to one of our favorite genres: New Adult! Today, we’re visiting with Jus Accardo:

I actually got the idea after having a long conversation with a friend about sibling rivalry.
I’d approached my editor with the concept for Entangled’s new (at the time) imprint, Covet. Ruined was loosely based on Cain and Abel, and she loved it. But when I submitted the sample chapters, she felt the characters sounded too young. I set the idea aside and moved on. It was almost a year later, when she came back to me, remembering the plot, and asked me to write it for the NA line.
Jax is dark and dangerous. He has a nasty temper, but is also good-hearted at the core—though he will do anything to keep people from knowing that. He will step up to defend the underdog, then slink back into the shadows, going to great lengths so no one will know it was him. Jax is damaged, but as he puts it, the dents and dings life has dealt along the way gave him personality.
And a wicked right hook.
Sam is headstrong and independent. She’s had kind of a rough life, losing her parents at an early age, and subscribes to the take-no-shit-from-anyone school of thought.
That includes Jax.
I need to have lots of coffee. And cheese. And chocolate. But not all at the same time. Ew!
Quirky, coffee-addicted, and owned-by-multiple-dogs. (-‘s make it all one word, right? RIGHT?)
